My name is Mike Dolan
I have found what I believe to be a Escher & Co water stone. About 50 years ago my neighbor died and his sister gave me his old straight collection 30 pcs that he had bought at an auction. About 25 yrs ago my father passed and I received another 20 pieces that he had somehow. Along with a few old tired Strops. In one of the lots was an Escher stone. I have done nothing with them and they have just been boxed since then. I put them on EBay a few days ago and to my surprise people mentioned the stone might have some value if real.
the stones’ label is complete and in tact and it is rectangular 1 3/8” x 6 7/8” with a few light scratches on the face.
Should I just put it on EBay and let it go or is there a better way to get it in the right hands?
